Wedding Trends set by Royal Wedding 2018

On 19th of May, 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have celebrated their wedding day, also making them the sixteenth royal couple to celebrate their marriage at Windsor Castle. The Royal wedding has set a few trends you should definitely keep in mind when organizing your own wedding, as it would guarantee this will be a fairy tale one.

Add a personalised item to your wedding dress

Distinctive flora of all 53 Commonwealth countries
HRH Princess Henry of Wales had her wedding dress designed by Clare Waight Keller,  artistic director of haute couture for the fashion house Givenchy. What is extra special about the wedding attire is the floral composition of the veil which contains distinctive flora representing all 53 Commonwealth countries united in one spectacular piece.

Horse-drawn carriage is the key for a fairy tale wedding

Horse-drawn carriage
What can be more romantic and spectacular on the day of your wedding than a carriage waiting for you two love birds outside the church ready to carry you anywhere you wish to go? Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their very own fairy tale wedding and carriage procession through Windsor town.

Hand-picked flowers from your own garden

Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Meghan Markle’s wedding bouquet was hand-picked by Prince Harry from their very own Kensington garden, and what is even more sweet about it is that the Forget-Me-Nots included in the bridal bouquet were Princess Diana’s favourite flowers. Isn’t Meghan a very lucky girl?

Have a cake to remember

Royal Wedding Cake
The wedding cake that has been served during the private reception was designed by Claire Ptak, who runs Violet Cakes in Hackney, east London. The cake was made at the Queen’s residence in Sandringham from a light sponge cake and featured elderflower syrup from the estate’s own elderflower trees. You should definitely keep it in mind, at least the design of it, if you would prefer to have a different flavour.
